Departure from Athens: 8:30 am

Return in Athens: 7:00 pm on the third day

Highlights:
1st day: Leave for Delphi via Thebes, Levadia and the picturesque village of Arachova, on the slopes of Mount Parnassus. In Delphi visit the archaeological site and the Museum. Afternoon free. Enjoy dinner and stay overnight at Delphi.
2nd day: Morning free. Leave Delphi for an interesting trip to Kalambaka through Central Greece and the town of Lamia. Enjoy dinner and stay overnight in Kalambaka.
3rd day: Visit Meteora, a particularly impressive scenery: ageless Monasteries, containing priceless historical and religious treasures, stand suspended between earth and sky, on top of granite rocks. On the way back to Athens visit the monument of Leonidas at Thermopyles.

This was an excellent tour. It allowed us to visit two entirely different sites that are both culturally significant and visually stunning. Our guides were personable and knowledgeable. I was particularly impressed with their ability to provide background to such a varied group. We never felt rushed and had time to absorb the experience. When signing up for this tour, you have to realize that a lot of time will be spent on the bus; this is unavoidable. But the time is used well for rest and background, and the scenery is stunning.

Good tour with excellent guides; Meteora was especially fascinating. The hotel arrangements were also very good and the meals at the hotels were quite good. Would do the trip again.

Well organized and punctual on pick up times. We felt safe on our travels as the bus drivers drove well, working well with the diligent guides to give us all a comfortable and informative tour.

Going by bus on a three day two night tour freed us from the stress to find our own way around to see the archeological sites, visit the museums and monasteries in Delphi and Meteora given the short time we have to see the highlights of ancient Greece. The monasteries we visited were amazingly beautiful and we were given sufficient time to walk around. The guides we had were very knowledgeable and gave greater insights to the places we visited.
