Rhodes

The biggest island in the Dodecanese and the fourth largest in Greece, Rhodes boasts of its age-old history and astonishing natural beauty. – other worth visiting sites apart from Rhodes town: the site of Ialyssos, Lindos, Kameiros, the church of the Virgin in Fileremos, the Valley of the Butterflies, the impressive fortress in Monolithos and the village of Embonas, one of the most picturesque ones.

How to get there from Athens: by ferry (minimum 12 hours) or by plane (1 hour).
