Τhe building of the Grand Sarai is one of the oldest and most remarkable ones in the historical center of Nafplion.
Its construction period is estimated around the second Venetian occupation (1685-1715). Due to its position and figure it holds an important and remarkable presence in the tissue of the old town. It is listed as building of special historic and architectural interest from the Ministry of Environment and Public Works.
All 12 rooms and suites are equipped with traditional wooden floor and separate bathroom; the “999 skalia” suite features a Jacuzzi bathtub. Their amenities include slippers (slippers and bathrobes in the suites), hair dryer, toiletries, ironing facilities, mini fridge, telephone, air-conditioning, safety deposit box, writing desk, flat screen LCD/Plasma TV and free WiFi. All rooms have views to the old city of Nafplion and the Palamidi, while the Prestige rooms and the suites also offer views to the sea.
Α spacious and light breakfast room is located on the ground floor of the Grand Sarai. The hotel also features a lounge and a bar with fine decoration.
