The train departs from Athens at 08:20

and returns in Athens at 22:15

Catch the train of 07:40 to Kalambaka from the Athens Railway Station and enjoy a trip that will give you the chance to admire the beauty of the countryside.

Meteora monasteriesArrive around 12:00 in Kalambaka, a small town built at the foot of the majestic grey rocks, and crowned by the Meteora Monasteries. Upon your arrival, our English speaking driver will be waiting for you holding a signboard with your name on it and will transfer you to the Meteora Monasteries. For about four hours you will have the time to explore at least two or three Monasteries. Meteora is included on the UNESCO world heritage monument list.

At the end of the day, our driver will transfer you back to Kalambaka, where you will have the time to stroll around and have a light lunch (not included). At 18:22 the train departs from Kalambaka, and arrives at 22:26 back to Athens.
Transfer to/from the railway station in Athens is NOT included.

We enjoyed our tour of Meteora. The train ride was easy to navigate and the tour was well done and timed well to give a little free time when we got back before the train ride back to Athens. The Tour guide was very good.
