The bus departs from Stathmos Larissis train station in Athens at 07:45am
and returns in Athens at 23:00
(transfers to/from the railway station in Athens as well as the entrance fees to the monasteries are not included)
Along with an English speaking escort you will get to Kalambaka after an approximately 5 hours journey including a 20 minutes refreshment stop. Kalambaka is a small town built at the foot of the majestic grey rocks. There, your guide will meet you and take you to the medieval monastery complex of Meteora, which sits perched high atop sandstone cliffs and is honored by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.
It's a wonderful way to experience one of Greece's most breathtaking and off-the-beaten-path cultural treasures.
