  Potami
House will appeal to couples looking for peaceful seclusion in beautiful
surroundings and with dramatic views. The house is set on a wooded hillside
just a few kilometres inland from the east coast village of Panormos. The open
views take in the pine-forested valley leading down to Panormos and across the
sea to the coastline of Evia. No houses overlook Potami and the house and
grounds have total privacy.
 As
a traditional, country house the furnishings are simple but comfortable and
there is a warm feeling of a home. Terraces surround the house and the
garden areas contain lemon, fig, almond, cypress and carob trees plus a
magnificent, gnarled and twisted, four hundred year old olive tree. The
attractive dining patio, shaded by grape vine, overlooks the pool terrace. A
pathway within the grounds leads to a small, private family church, hidden by
large pine trees.
 We
suggest car hire for easy access to Panormos and nearby beaches. Panormos, a
drive of ten minutes, has a good selection of shops, tavernas and café bars and
a variety of beaches to the north and south. Skopelos Town is a drive of twenty
minutes.

A
road climbs up the hillside from Skopelos Town and just before Dimitri’s House a
track of five hundred metres leads off to the peaceful hilltop region of Rachi
and the dramatic setting of Villa Katerina.
Villa Katerina has a rural setting with stunning views down a valley of
olive groves to the beach of Glisteri and across the sea to the west coast of
Alonissos.

A
five minute drive southwards around the bay of Skopelos Town and then a further
five minute drive up the lower part of the Palouki Mountain leads to the
hillside seclusion of the Monastiri Villas. There are four villas, each standing
on a wide and separate hillside terrace. The two Monastiri Villas have the
middle terraces. Each villa has been finished to a high standard of modern
comfort with beautiful terraced grounds incorporating a pool, grassed
lawns, an elaborate barbecue and dining area with fridge, cushioned sitting
areas in sun and shade and landscaped hillside gardens.
The
views down the valley of olives and pines and over the bay to the
whitewashed houses of Skopelos Town, are spectacular. A short drive away,
close to the top of Palouki Mountain, are three monasteries.

The
bay of Skopelos Town is backed by hillsides of olive and pine. A ten minute
drive from the port, past the lower hillside terraces of Palouki Mountain and
the convent of Evangelistria and the monastery of Metamorphosis, leads to the
beautiful and secluded location of Nina’s House. Set within an olive grove,
without any neighbouring house to overlook its private grounds, Nina’s House has
spectacular views down the forested hillside to the whitewashed houses of
Skopelos Town and the open sea.
With
an attractive combination of traditional stone, pastel-coloured fabrics and
comfortable furniture, this peaceful retreat will provide modern comforts
with large sea-facing terraces.
Although
intrepid at heart, most of our clients at Nina’s House have found it difficult
to pull themselves away from its special location.
We
feel that Yasmina’s House is one of the most attractive and romantic we
have seen in the Old Town of Skopelos.
Set on the hillside of narrow, stepped streets in a quiet, residential part of
town, Yasmina has wonderful views over the lower rooftops and churches to the
bay below.

Kalivi
Cottage will appeal to those looking for a more traditional island retreat
with privacy and magnificent sea views. A narrow winding track of just under
one kilometre leads from Glossa’s main square to the tiny hillside hamlet of
Machalas. The hamlet has just a few small houses and farms. The hillside below
is rich in water and the olive groves are interspersed with many tall plane
trees.
Set
in the hamlet of Machalas, in beautiful private gardens of orange, lemon,
cherry, apricot and plum trees, the cottage overlooks a valley of olive groves
and pine trees, the edge of Loutraki port and across the sea to the islands of
Skiathos, Tsougria, Reppi and Maragoza. The sun sets dramatically behind
Skiathos.
the parking area is two hundred metres from the cottage. Nearby Glossa has two
tavernas, a bakery and a minimarket. The port of Loutraki is two kilometres away
and has more tavernas and a beach. The sandy beach of Perivoliou is six
kilometres away. Skopelos Town is a drive of fifty minutes.
