The villa opens out on to a selection of terraces, for both sun and shade, with privacy and spectacular views. A romantic atmosphere is created at night by subdued lighting around the pool.
Car rental is suggested: Patitiri and Steni Vala, with their waterfront shops and tavernas, are a drive of ten minutes. The beach within Tzortzi Bay, a drive of just a few minutes or a walk of ten minutes, has a taverna which opens June to September and there are two tavernas just above nearby Leftos Yalos beach. Near Alonissos Old Town - sleeps maximum 6 persons

View of the villa Paparouna is set on a hillside terrace just below Alonissos Old Town. Both the upstairs balcony and the garden terraces have privacy and dramatic views View from the villa's pool down the valley to Patitiri harbour and across the open sea to the islands of Ta Theo Adelfia. The shops and tavernas of the Old Town and Patitiri are within a ten minute drive. The nearby forested area of Kato Horafi is wonderful for walking and watching the graceful Eleonora falcons circling overhead.
The house has been extensively modernized to provide the comfortable feel of a stylish home with spacious rooms opening out on to a large, flagstone verandah, the swimming pool terrace, an outside dining area shaded by roses and bougainvillaea, and a barbecue area. The creative owners have furnished the interiors with an attractive combination of antique and modern furniture to provide interest and comfort.
Car hire is suggested so that clients may have easy access to beaches and explore the island.

View of the Villa Hera Villa Hera has a very private location with spectacular views over the forested hillsides and across the sea to the islands of Peristera and Ta Theo Adelfia on one side and on the other, the whitewashed houses of Alonissos Old Town, perched high above. The villa is reached via a track through a forest of umbrella pines, set back from the road from Patitiri to the Old Town. View form the villa
Villa Hera is one of the more opulent villas on Alonissos and has been finished and furnished to a high standard with modern facilities. Sitting out areas and terraces surround the villa to capture the dramatic views and to enjoy or escape the sun. A separate garden studio houses a barbecue and kitchen area beside a romantic, shaded dining terrace and the pool is backed by an olive grove. The established grounds contain olive, apricot and mimosa trees, bordered by rose bushes.
In order to enjoy the secluded location and to have easy access to a variety of nearby beaches and tavernas, car rental is suggested. The shops and tavernas of the Old Town can either be reached on foot via a donkey path in fifteen minutes or by car in ten minutes. Patitiri, on the east coast, is a drive of ten minutes. The nearest beach, at Megalos Mourtias, is a ten minute drive.

Each villa is on a separate hillside terrace, twenty metres apart. Light and spacious interiors of soft pastel colours, open out on to carefully designed, cushioned sitting areas around the pool with both sun and shade. A large, covered, outside dining and sitting room provides a comfortable escape from the sun. Bordered by olive and pine trees, the sea-facing terraces have been planted with bougainvillaea, oleanders and scented jasmine.
Car hire is suggested: Patitiri and Steni Vala, with their waterfront shops and tavernas, are a drive of ten minutes. Villa Tassoula Villa Tassoula stands amongst olive groves in a valley above Lefto Yalo Bay, fifty metres away from Neptune Cottage. The villa has dramatic views The view from the villa over the valley of pine and olive trees, across the sea to the islands of Ta Theo Adelfia. Lefto Yalo beach, just a three minute walk away, has pure white pebbles and crystal clear waters. A hired boat can be anchored in the sheltered bay during the day. Two small tavernas, always with locally caught fish, are set back from the beach.
Villa Tassoula is a spacious and comfortably furnished retreat, which will appeal to those wanting to be close to the sea. The terraces surrounding the large pool incorporate a shaded dining and barbecue area.
Car rental is suggested: the ports of Patitiri and Steni Vala, each with a good selection of waterfront tavernas and shops, are a drive of fifteen minutes. Bedroom Footpaths provide interesting coastal walks and up to the forested Issiomata plateau.

Fanari House

At Barbakis, Alonissos - sleeps maximum 4 persons

Fanari House as seen from the sea level Fanari House faces the sea with olive groves on the other three sides. View of the nearby small beach A path leads from the coastal road, on the east coast just north of the little port of Kalamakia, to Fanari House’s private garden of orange, peach and loquat trees, grapevines, roses, oleanders and bougainvillaea. Thirty-two steps lead from the house down to a patio, shaded by a pine and a fig tree, and a jetty where a hired boat can be moored. A small beach lies fifty metres away from the jetty.
Simply but comfortably furnished interiors open out on to a side courtyard with barbecue and a sea-facing terrace, shaded by a tiled pergola. Close enough to hear the sea, Fanari House has dramatic views to the islands of Peristera and Ta Theo Adelfia. Outside sitting area The nearest neighbouring house is two hundred metres away, hidden by olive groves.
Car rental is suggested: the drive to the supermarket and tavernas of Steni Vala port takes ten minutes. The pretty port of Kalamakia is a five minute drive or two minutes by boat.

Katia's House

At Kalamakia, Alonissos - sleeps maximum 4 persons

View of the house and the port of Kalamakia below Katia’s House stands on a hillside overlooking the tiny port of Kalamakia, half way along the east coast of the island. The port is effectively "home" for several local families. The wives and daughters look after the five waterfront tavernas and the husbands and sons cast their nets daily from their caïques to ensure a rich selection of fresh fish.
The views from the bedroom and sitting room balconies are dramatic: down to Kalamakia port and across the sea to the islands of Peristera and Kyra Panagia. A steep pathway, shaded by tall pine trees, leads down from the house to the port in two minutes. The pool & view from the pool
The pool terraces overlook the sea and are bordered by colourful plants. If the morning sun is strong there is a separate sitting area, to the side of the house, shaded by a large umbrella pine tree overlooking the sea.
Kalamakia has no shops and we therefore recommend car rental in order to reach the nearby port of Steni Vala, a five minute drive, where one can find two supermarkets and a good selection of tavernas and bars. The tavernas of Kalamakia are closed early and late season.
Accommodation/Facilities of the house: Sitting room and terrace
Katia’s House Bedroom consists of two separate, almost identical buildings – a few metres apart. We feel that the property is better suited to one party and it can only therefore be rented as a whole.
Each unit has an upper floor of one double bedroom leading to sea-facing balcony; bathroom with shower.
Stairs down to small sitting room leading to sea-facing terrace; shower room; kitchen.
Each unit has air-conditioning in the bedroom & a CD player.
A hired boat can be moored in the port of Kalamakia below the house.

Neptune Cottage in Alonissos Neptune Cottage is set amongst the hillside olive groves above the beautiful bay of Lefto Yalo, on the island’s south east coastline. Simply yet comfortably furnished Sitting room/dining area , the cottage is just a two minute walk from one of the most attractive beaches on the island. Two tavernas are set back from the beach. Views from Neptune’s terrace and garden are over Lefto Yalo Bay.
From Neptune’s peaceful location one can hear, during the day, the sound of distant bells of the goats who graze on the richly wooded hillside of the bay and who, early evening, are shepherded across the beach to the opposite hillside. For walking enthusiasts there are many interesting trails leading from the bay up to the forested Issiomata plateau Lefto Yialo Bay and along the coast towards Steni Vala.
Neptune Cottage’s location is secluded and we strongly suggest car rental for ease of access to nearby villages. Both Patitiri and Steni Vala are a drive of fifteen minutes.

Villa Amalia Alonissos; at the water's edge Tzortzi Bay lies on the east coast of Alonissos, half way between Patitiri and Steni Vala. Flanked by hillsides of umbrella pine, olive and cypress trees, the sheltered bay has two beaches, a small taverna and a few private villas, none of which overlook Amalia. Villa Amalia is set in private grounds just above the water’s edge. The nearest beach is just a minute’s walk away.
Terraces and verandahs, bordered by purple bougainvillaea, jasmine and lemon trees, overlook the bay and a garden path leads down through terraces of baby olives and cream-coloured oleanders to a jetty. The view from the terrace The hiring of a boat is recommended so that days can be spent exploring the many coves of the east coast and visiting the nearby ports of Steni Vala and Kalamakia, where one can find a good selection of tavernas by the sea.
The villa is spacious and simply but comfortably furnished. There are many sitting out areas for both sun and shade with total privacy and different aspects of the dramatic sea views.
View of the interior Villa Amalia enjoys a peaceful and secluded location and therefore car rental is suggested for ease of access to shops and tavernas. Patitiri and Steni Vala are six kilometres away.

The Hidden Cottage

At Megali Ammos, Alonissos - sleeps maximum 2 persons

The view from the Hidden Cottage, Alonissos As its name implies, the Hidden Cottage is not easy to find and will appeal to couples looking for a peaceful and comfortable retreat close to the sea.
Two kilometres away from Patitiri and Steni Vala a small, graded track leads to a hillside of olive trees above the sea on the island’s secluded west coast. The stone cottage blends in with the surrounding natural colours of olives.
Views from the house across the sea to Skopelos are stunning. A small cove with a sand and pebble beach can be reached in a five minute walk down a small pathway. The beach below the cottage There are many goat paths along the coastline to provide interesting walks and access to other beaches.
Recently built by an English couple, the Hidden Cottage has simple modern comforts but is without mains electricity. Power for lighting is provided by solar panels; kitchen cooker, fridge and hot water are powered by gas. The house works efficiently in this respect but will not suit those who depend on a hairdryer and iron.
Stone floors, exposed beams and colourful furnishings provide the feel of a comfortable home.
View of the interior The Hidden Cottage has a secluded location on the west coast. The five kilometre access track to the Hidden Cottage is uneven in parts and therefore jeep rental is strongly recommended for easy access to the shops and tavernas of Patitiri.
The Hidden Cottage is a romantic retreat above the sea.
