A beautiful complex in quiet, rural surroundings offering a relaxed holiday, away from the bustling town. It has a two swimming pools plus a children’s pool, Jacuzzi, pool bar, pretty café/bar/breakfast area, where also light meals are served, surrounded by trees and flowers. There are also a reception area with a souvenir shop, small gym, and a playground and playroom. It consists of nicely furnished studios for 2-3 persons, and apartments for up to 4 persons. All have 2 or three beds - one is usually matrimonial, open plan or separate kitchenette, en suite shower/W.C. with hairdryer, patio or balcony or terrace, TV, A/C, and direct dial phone. Some rooms have sea view, some have view to the garden and the pool. It is about 400m from the sandy beach of Kastraki, where there are also some taverns. The nearest bus stop is 800m (bus service 3-5 times a day) and the town is 20kms away. Car rental is recommended.

This excellent accommodation offers high standards, peace and quiet, wonderful views, and some of the best beaches on Naxos nearby. They are built on the side of a small hill overlooking the sea 17kms from the town of Naxos. At the top are two semi-detached cottages, each comprising open-plan living room/kitchen, area with cooking rings and fridge, double bedroom, tiled shower/W.C., and front patio with lovely views and sunsets to Paros. There is a sofa bed in the living room for a child. The three villas are detached and stepped down the hillside. They are similar in design to the cottages with the addition of a second bedroom (twin) and a sea view patio both front and rear one with barbecue. All units are very nicely furnished, each with each own decor and colour scheme. Fixtures and fittings are of a very good quality throughout. The swimming pool is set to one side and measures 11m x 6 m. The hospitable owners, Zahia and Kamal, live above. Vast expanses of sandy beach and a tavern can be found within a 10-minute walk, and there is a bus service to Naxos Town from the road below (up to 5 times daily), but a car hire would be recommended due to the secluded location.

Villas with private swimming pools are rare on Naxos, so we are delighted to have found one! Situated just outside the small farming village of Melanes, a little inland from Naxos Town, Villa Guilena overlooks a beautiful rural valley. It is a two-storey house built in Cycladic style. Entrance is into the L-shaped living room on the first floor. This has an open-plan kitchen area to one side with a full cooker and a fridge, a built-in sofa bed if required for a child, and a guest W.C off. French windows lead onto a covered patio to the front with lovely rural views over the valley and the hills opposite. 15 stairs lead down to the two ground floor bedrooms - one double, one twin - each of which opens onto the covered poolside patio. Also ground floor is the tiled shower room with W.C and washing machine. Furnishings throughout the house are stylish and comfortable. The swimming pool to the front measures approximately 45 sq. metres. A couple of other houses are nearby but you are not overlooked. Melanes has a couple of taverns and small grocery shops. Beaches and Naxos town are within a 15-minute drive, but this is also fine walking country.
